South Australian councils are encouraged to submit their applications to the Open Space Grant Program 2023-24 for laneways, main streets, civic plazas and reimagined spaces funding opportunities.
Launched today, the grant program offers up to $500,000 in matched funding to support councils to revitalise and develop laneways, main streets, civic plazas and reimagined spaces.
Councils are encouraged to submit suitable projects for funding that will result in better connected, greener and activated spaces that support their communities.
Access to a variety of public open space continues to be increasingly important to ensure South Australia remains liveable, healthy and sustainable, particularly in the context of increasing residential infill in existing neighbourhoods.
