27 Sep 2023
For the second year in a row, Redarc Electronics has been announced as the South Australian Exporter of the Year at a gala dinner for the South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards 2023.

Redarc Electronics, which also received the award for Manufacturing and Advanced Materials, was amongst more than 250 businesses to enter this year’s awards, with 600 nominations across 24 categories.

The event was run in partnership with Business SA and the category winners are selected by government and industry representatives with specialist knowledge and experience across the categories.

The Exporter of the Year Award is given to the business that best demonstrates sustainable export growth, innovative market entry strategies and best practice approaches in implementing their international growth strategy.

Redarc Electronics specialises in advanced electronic design and manufacturing for defence, automotive, marine, medical, mining and industrial applications and has expanded its international footprint into South Africa and the United States.

The company is based at Lonsdale and operates a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility, employing more than 350 people across Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe.

Andrew Kay, CEO of Business SA, applauded the outstanding achievements of the evening’s winners, recognising the difficult task faced by the panel of judges as they sifted through an exceptional pool of nominees spanning 24 categories.

“With over 250 businesses participating and a grand total of 600 nominations submitted, the competition was fierce,” said Mr Kay.

“What's unmistakable is the impressive growth of innovative and high-performing businesses in South Australia.

“To all the winners of the 2023 South Australian Premier's Business and Export Awards, my warmest congratulations.

“I also want to convey my sincere appreciation to our major sponsors, MEGT and Thomas Foods, as well as category sponsors, the dedicated team at Business SA, and the Government of South Australia. Their tireless commitment made this event a reality.”
