Bonjour, LGM Group
French engineering services company, LGM, is the latest international company to move into the Defence and Space Landing Pad. The company will also receive funding under the South Australian Landing Pad program.
With a presence in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Germany, Italy and India, the management and engineering company has a workforce of 1,400 FTE and clients include Naval Group, Airbus, BAE Systems, Thales, Safran and Alstom.
Established in 1991, LGM aims to provide its clients, operators and contractors, with a global solution to their high-tech system development needs.
The company is establishing its first office in the Asia Pacific region in Adelaide at Lot Fourteen, following its temporary base on Greenhill Road.
LGM intends to create five FTE positions within the first 12 months, and over the next three to five years aims to recruit approximately 20 to 25 South Australian engineers.
Franck Bloom, Country Manager, Australia, will establish the Adelaide office that will work across industry sectors with system engineering, including defence, naval, infrastructure, space, aeronautics, railway and stock, energy and telecommunications.
“South Australia’s credentials as the defence and space state and delivery of many of the defence forces’ largest projects, as well as being home to many defence industry precincts provides LGM with a cradle of defence-related opportunities for business,” Mr Bloom said.
“We can also recruit from the good universities based in South Australia and rely on local partnerships with similar companies during our ramp up period and going forward.”
The Defence and Space Landing Pad provides international companies with affordable, short-term office facilities and relationship building opportunities at Lot Fourteen. The South Australian Landing Pad program provides funding for access to Lot Fourteen’s innovation and coworking hubs or alternative accommodation and funding for access to professional support and advice.
