Investors connect in Adelaide for AFL Gather Round
High net worth investors have flocked to Adelaide for AFL Gather Round, hoping to score a big win both on and off the field.
Gather Round has proven to be a hugely successful business event for SA, with the second edition of the four-day football festival attracting even more interstate investors to Adelaide to explore new business ventures.
Taking advantage of a weekend of football in the state, Invest SA has invited 30 interstate high net worth, institutional, equity and family office investors looking for new business opportunities to South Australia to make connections with SA companies seeking investment.
The Government is hosting a series of events and workshops across the four days of AFL Gather Round for the SA business community to network with investors. These events include Private Debt panel discussions, company presentations and the official Gather Round business lunch hosted by the South Australian Business Chamber (formerly Business SA).
A number of South Australian companies will have the opportunity to pitch their business growth plans at various events across the four days. The local companies on show include Aerometrex, Ballard Brands, Biome Bank, Clevertar, Cucina Classica, Emmi, EntX, Fircy, Inovor, IO Energy, My Gigsters, Neumann Space, NQRY, Optible, OurMoneyMarket, Palletcase, QuantX Labs, ScreenAway, Sention, Sherlok, Southern Launch, Sparc Technologies, Splose, Trust in Taste and XFrame.
The South Australian Government will also take the opportunity to promote its State Prosperity Project to equity investors and company representatives plus highlight future opportunities in hydrogen, renewable energy, defence as well as food, wine and agribusiness.
Since the 2023 AFL Gather Round, several investors have returned to Adelaide for follow-up meetings with South Australian companies and Invest SA. It is expected that this year’s event will build on the success of the first year with double the number of investors attending.
