South Australia’s end-to-end clinical trials capabilities have been showcased in Japan as South Australian clinical trial companies travelled to Tokyo and then to Osaka for World Expo 2025 as part of Health and Wellbeing Week.

Morgan Evans from Agilex Biolabs, Yvonne Lungershausen from Avance Clinical and Jane Kelly from CMAX Clinical Research introduced the state’s clinical trial landscape at an event in Tokyo before participating in a panel discussion.

The three South Australian companies then headed to Osaka to participate in the Australian Government Department of Health’s flagship event ’The Ideal Destination for Clinical Trials’. The session showcased Australia’s world-leading clinical trials infrastructure, streamlined regulatory approval system and investment incentives, providing practical how-to steps to facilitate further investment. Japanese biotech investors joined the panel discussion, sharing their positive experiences and tips.
