The Government of South Australia has formed a partnership with one of Australia’s best known and professional sporting organisations in a move that will help raise the state’s profile.
Brand SA will be supporting the Adelaide 36ers as its official partner on an upcoming tour of the United States (US).
In October, the Adelaide 36ers will play two games against NBA teams, the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder, with South Australia’s State Brand prominently on show.
The games in Phoenix and Oklahoma will help promote and support trade and investment opportunities for South Australia.
Companies from Australia and South Australia, including Valo, Walker Corporation and XVenture, will also travel with the Adelaide 36ers to explore business opportunities and connections.
Staff in the South Australian Government offices in New York, Houston and San Francisco are providing in market support and have made important connections with local government and business representatives in Arizona and Oklahoma.
This includes leveraging deep market expertise and extensive local networks, conduct matching between businesses and suitable buyers and investors in the United States.
DTI staff in the United State also showcase South Australian brands, products and strengths on the global stage and are providing market intelligence and business translation for accompanying SA companies.
The South Australian Government is also working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to ensure the best possible reach and market opportunity for South Australia.
After the tour to the US, the new partnership will also provide other promotional opportunities and extend through the regular 2022/23 NBL season.
