The South Australia Export Accelerator - Bushfire Response (SAEA-BR) grant provides financial assistance for South Australian businesses impacted by the bushfires.
The 2019-20 bushfires have impacted many businesses across numerous regions of South Australia.
Businesses have suffered loss, both directly in the form of infrastructure and tools of trade and indirectly, agriculture produce (crops, pasture, forests) and loss of income.
For exporting businesses this has the potential effect of reducing their capability to meet supply contracts or to maintain markets with buyers believing that the Australian supply chain is compromised due to fire damage.
Department for Trade and Investment (DTI) will deliver a targeted round of the SA Export Accelerator (SAEA) in May 2020 for businesses which have been exporting but have been affected either directly or indirectly by the recent fires.
The targeted round of the SAEA will concentrate on getting businesses who have suffered economic impact from the fires, up and running again, reconnecting with export markets, international commercial connections and achieving sustainable revenues and employment.
Businesses will need to identify how the bushfire has impacted their ability to export and include an outline of the steps they plan to take to recommence or maintain their markets.
